Kids & Teens Classes
Taking up Martial Arts, especially Jiu Jitsu is a life-changing event for many children and young people.
Seeing children grow and mature through Martial Arts is such an amazing experience, it’s one of the main reasons we set up Na Fianna.
We’ve seen first hand how martial arts can inspire young people, give them confidence, and instil great values.
We want your young one to have the time of their life in our gym so we’ve prepared programs to reflect that.
Skill. Discipline. Joy. (and safety!)
Below are some details on the benefits of training, the coaches, and any other info you may need.
If you have any further questions email reception@nafiannamartialarts.ie.

Kids
We prefer younger children to focus on Gi Jiu Jitsu first before graduating to anything more challenging. Training multiple disciplines can be confusing and distracting.
As a result your child must wear an appropriate Jiu Jitsu Gi.
You can purchase a Gi directly from us.
Your child must also:
Wear a rash-vest or T-shirt under their Gi jacket
Bring a mouthguard for any games
Have appropriate footwear for going on and off the mats. Flip-flops or crocs are ideal
Teens
We allow Teens to take on the challenge of Jiu Jitsu in both Gi and Nogi formats, though they may choose one or the other if they wish.
You can purchase both Gi and Nogi gear directly from us.
Appropriate gear for Gi: A fitted Gi jacket and pants, a rash vest or T-shirt for underneath your jacket
Appropriate gear for Nogi: A rash vest, and a pair of shorts. Your shorts cannot have pockets or zips as they may harm your training partners.
Your teen must also:
Wear a rash vest or T-shirt under their Gi jacket
Bring a mouthguard for any games or sparring
Have appropriate footwear for going on and off the mats. Flip-flops or crocs are ideal

Safety is our top priority.
Obviously you’ll want to meet our Head coach and any assistants Oliver has for helping with Kids and Teen classes but in the meantime, rest assured.Oliver has been training kids and teens since 2017 both as a Head Coach and as an assistant. He is Garda Vetted, has a certificate in “Coaching Kids Safely” from Sports Ireland, and has a record of happy parents who are willing to provide references. He is kind, caring, and patient with all his students.
Oliver uses only his most trusted adult student as an assistant and he never leaves any children on their own without his direct supervision.
